Backup to CD

Backup to CD - creation of reserve copies of digital data and recording them to CD/-s. CDs are often used for backup as they are wide-spread and can be kept away from the computer in case the computer catches fire or is drowned or stolen. Besides, CDs can be used as a part of the backup rotation schedule such as Grandfather-father-son rotation, for example. CDs are most effective for recording incremental backups as incremental backup does not require a lot of storage space.
