Automatic data backup to DVD, CD, USB, HD DVD, Blu-ray, FTP or SFTP

Data compression is a useful option when you need to back up large amounts of data, but you do not have a lot of storage space.

Novosoft Office Backup allows compressing data to a zip archive to save space on a media device that is used for storing backup copies. The following options are available for data compression:

• all data are compressed to a single archive
• each file is compressed to a separate archive

Besides, the user may set up the quality of compression. The better is quality, the less space the backup file will occupy on the storage device, but the more time it will take to compress. Compression is a voluntary procedure so it is up to you to decide whether you will or you will not compress your files before backing them up. If you decide to compress your data before backup, you can do it by checking the Compress option in Standard mode. In Expert mode you can specify the quality of compression by moving the slide bar back and forth. All in all, Novosoft Office Backup has 9 levels of compression.
