What to Synchronize
To create a synchronization task, click the New Task icon on the program toolbar or select New Task from the File menu.
In Step one of the New Task Wizard, select Synchronize task, and click Next.
To perform synchronization of two folders, you need to select the first and the second folder whose contents you are going to synchronize.
To select the first folder, click the Browse for folder button in Step 2 of the New Task Wizard next to the Select the first folder field or type in the directory of the first folder manually. Click Next.
In Step 3 of the New Task Wizard, select the second folder whose contents you will synchronize with the first folder. Check the Local/LAN radio button if the second folder, which you are going to synchronize with the first one, is situated on a local computer or on a local network.
Type in the local directory manually or use the Browse for folder button to search for the second folder.
If you want to synchronize the first folder with a folder on a remote FTP server, select FTP.
In the lower section of the window, FTP settings will be displayed. Enter the host, user, and password into respective fields and click this icon to connect to the FTP server and browse for the second folder.
In the FTP connection dialog that will open, select a folder to synchronize with, and click the Select button to add this folder to the Location field.
The selected folder will be added to the Remote FTP location field.
If you were unable to connect to the FTP server because of the proxy server settings, click the Proxy tab to specify your proxy settings.
If the connection failed because you are behind a firewall, check the box Passive Mode and try to reconnect.
