In Step 2: What to backup, click the Add... button to add data to the backup set.

Select the Folder... item from the Add... list and browse for the My Documents folder.

Select My Documents and click OK,
or
simply click My Documents on the Add... list.

My Documents will be added to the backup set.

Don't forget that we need to exclude pictures from the backup set. If My Documents contains pictures, you need to browse the folder to search for image files and exclude them from the backup set.

To browse My Documents, click "plus" next to it.

The "plus" will turn into "minus" and the My Documents folder will reveal its entire contents including both folders and files.

If your pictures are stored in the My Pictures folder, you can simply remove the checkmark next to this folder to exclude it from the backup set. To remove the checkmark, click the box next to My Pictures. To see the contents of My Pictures, click "plus" next to it.

If you don't know exactly where your pictures are stored, browse folders to find all image files and remove checkmarks next to them to exclude them from the backup set.

When you have specified the backup set, click Next to continue.

In Step 2 of the New Task Wizard, select Full backup or Incremental backup.

In this case Full backup is selected, which means that all selected files of the My Documents folder will be backed up.

In Step 4 of the New Task Wizard, you should select the destination (storage medium) for the resulting backup file/-s.

In this case, we have selected a remote FTP server as a backup destination.
In the Location field, you can see the directory for the backup files. For more details, refer to Backup to FTP.

In the next step of the New Task Wizard, you can adjust the compression and encryption settings:

In this case, we chose to compress data because the My Documents folder is rather big in size. We also applied encryption to the backup data to protect them while they are transferred to the remote FTP location.

In addition, the data were protected with a password to guarantee their secure storage on the FTP server.

In step 6 of the New Task Wizard, we selected both options which are Run now and Setup Schedule.

The Run now option means that the backup task will be launched right after its creation.
When checked, the Setup schedule option means that in the next step, you will be offered to specify the schedule for this backup task.

In Step 7 of New Task Wizard, we should specify the schedule for our backup task.

As you can see, we chose to repeat the backup once a week.

Because we chose to do a weekly backup, in the next step of the New Task Wizard, we should specify the day of the week upon which the backup will be executed.

In our example, we chose to do the backup on Wednesdays.

In the last step of the backup task creation, you can give your task a name and see the review of the created backup task.

The backup task is ready, so click Finish to add it for execution. The task will be displayed in the program's main window.
