Backup Task Properties

Here is what backup task properties window looks like:

The following tabs are available within the Backup Task Properties window: Name, Backup Set, Storage, Advanced, Operations, Scheduling and Actions.

Name

In the Name tab, you can change the name of the backup task. To change the name, type a new name and then click the Apply button which is at the bottom of the Backup Task Properties window.

Backup Set

Click the Backup Set tab to view the backup set of the given task.

In this tab, you can see what files are backed up on this task, add new data for backup or remove old data.

This tab is identical to Step two of the backup task creation. To see the details of data selection, refer to File filtering for selection of needed files.

Storage

Click Storage to see where the backup data are stored. The Storage tab corresponds to Step 4 of the backup task creation.

You can change the storage location of the backup data. For details on selecting a storage location, refer to the Where to backup section.

Advanced

In the Advanced tab, you can change the advanced backup settings of the backup task. For details, refer to Advanced backup settings

Operation

The Operation tab corresponds to Step 5 of the backup task creation. So refer to Advanced compression and encryption settings.

Scheduling

The Scheduling tab corresponds to Step 7 of the backup task creation. To see how to adjust the schedule of the backup task, refer to Scheduling in Expert Mode.

Actions

In the Actions tab, you can request Office Backup to open programs after or before the task is executed.

If you want to run some program before the backup task, check the box Run a program before the task, and browse for the program using the Browse tab. In addition, you can check the box Wait for the program before proceeding. When checked, this option will make Office Backup wait for the running program to close before it launches the backup task.

You can also request Office Backup to run a program after running the task. To do it, check the box Run a program after running the task. If you also check the box Wait for the program before finishing, Office Backup will not finish the backup task before the specified program is closed.

In addition, you can request the application to notify you with an email message, when the operation finishes, or when the operation finishes with an error. To do it, check the corresponding checkboxes.

Note: If the Send an email notification box is inactive, then you should adjust the email notifications service. For details, refer here.
