At this step you select the files and folders you
want to backup.
In a single Backup item you can include as many files and folders
as you want.
You can exclude subfolders or files from the Backup item. Also, you can specify types of
files to be processed or ignored by the program.

Add Drives or Folders: Click the "Add" button and choose
the "Folder" option. In the "Browse for folder" dialog select
a drive or a folder.
Repeat the selection procedure if you need to backup folders
located on
different hard drives or subfolders of different folders.
The list of the selected folders will be displayed in the upper box of the
Wizard.
To see
the selected folder contents, click the plus sign next to it (the plus
sign will turn into a minussign).
Add
Files:
Click the "Add" button and choose
the "Files" option. Select the files in the "Select
a file or files" dialog
and press the "Open" button. Repeat
the procedure if you want to backup several files from different
folders. The list of the selected files will be displayed in
the upper box.
Remove Folders or Files: Select a folder or a file in the upper
box and click the "Remove" button.
You can use this method only for root folders or files.
For subfolders or non-root files you should use the exclusion method.
Exclude Subfolders or
Files:
If you do not want to backup some subfolders or files, remove the checkmarks from
them.
Such subfolders or files will be displayed in the
Files View
with the "Excluded" statuses.
Include or Exclude
Files from the Files View Context Menu:
You can also include or exclude the selected files
through the context menu in the Files View. Right-click on the file and choose the
corresponding command from the menu.
Checkmarks: The black checkmarks near files or folders
indicate that they are included in the backup set. A grey
checkmark near a folder shows that some files or subfolders in the folder
are excluded.
Include masks (the program will process
only these files): Enter the file types
you wish to include in your item.
Exclude masks (the
program will ignore these files):
Enter
the file
types
you wish to
exclude from your item.
Apply these masks to folders as well:
The specified masks will be applied to folders as well as to files.
Press the
"Next"
button
to continue.
