To browse for the folder with the required backups and the index file
press either a "Local/LAN/CD" or a "FTP" radiobutton. To read more about browsing for folders on Local, on a LAN or an FTP server,

There are two types of the index files
used
in Office Backup - backup.obi and spanXXXX.obi (in case you backed up your files on CD-RW), where
XXXX is a hexadecimal number of span.
Restore from CD
If you used disc
spanning, to restore all data you should insert all your discs with backups into your CD
device one-by-one.
Every disc from your span contains
all the necessary information
about files on this disc, that is, the disc
is sufficient for restoring the files
kept on it. If a certain large file was fragmented and written on
several discs, in order to perform a restoration of such a file the
program needs to scan all the discs on which the file was written.
