New Version of Novosoft Office Backup Released

We are happy to announce the release of a new 3.4 version of Office Backup. The new version has undergone a lot of changes in internal architecture and includes several new functions:
Office Backup now features an advanced plug-in-based system which controls available destinations for storing your data. In earlier versions all devices and networking protocols were implemented as a part of the program. Now they are controlled by external plug-ins which can be freely added or removed from the system. This greatly eases the process of detecting and fixing possible problems and adding new destinations for backup.
The user interface of selection of backup destination during task creation has been changed in compliance with the new plug-in system. Now storage devices and servers are selected through a tree structure.
Two new backup destinations became available: Backup to FTPS and Backup to DiscHub
Important: The internal format which was used by Office Backup to store tasks has changed. When you create new or modify an old task, the respective Office Backup index file is automatically rewritten. This means that all existing restore task that exploit the same index file will stop working.
We highly recommend to modify all tasks imported from the old version and re-save them in an environment of the new version.
The Outlook backup plug-in now incorporates old MS Outlook Backup, Outlook Express backup plug-ins and can be also used to Backup Windows Mail
