ACT! Backup

ACT! backupACT! is a contact management software. ACT backup will prevent you from losing any important data.


How to create ACT! backup?

To back up ACT! please:

  1. launch Novosoft Office Backup
  2. create New Task
  3. select "Backup task"
  4. add required files to the backup set.

ACT! default file location depends on what version of ACT you're using:

  • For ACT! 1.0: C:\1Actwin\Database.
  • For ACT! 2.0: C:\Actwin2\Database.
  • For ACT! 3.0: C:\Act\Database.
  • For ACT! 4.0: C:\Program Files\Symantec\Act\Database.
  • For ACT! 2000: C:\My Documents\Act\Database.

If your ACT! files are stored in My Documents folder, you can back up My Documents folder automatically using Novosoft Office Backup.

You can also specify the ACT! file extension in Step 2 of the New Task Wizard: What to back up (Expert Mode) and Novosoft Office Backup will find and back up all files automatically.
