Trillian Backup

Trillian backup is important for keeping all Trillian information safe and secure. If you backed up Trillian data locally, you will not lose any contact or group notes, notifications, history, settings, etc.

How to do Trillian backup?

To back up Trillian data using Novosoft Office Backup, please:

launch an Novosoft Office Backup programm
create New Task
select "Backup task"
add these folders to the backup set.

All valuable Trillian data such as contact list or Trillian settings are contained in profile. If you share one copy of Trillian with somebody else without contact list merging, then there are several Trillian profiles on your computer. Each profile has its own preferences and settings (such as skins and plugins).
So to create Trillian backup, you should back up the following directories:

C:\Documents and Settings\your_username\Trillian\User Settings
C:\Program Files\Trillian\users\default

This is the default profile location. To see where your profile is saved, you should right-click the Trillian system tray icon, select Preferences and then select Profiles.

You may also specify the Trillian profile extension in Step 2 of the New Task Wizard: What to back up (Expert Mode) and Novosoft Office Backup will find and back it up automatically.
